Reminders: Weekend Screenings

This Friday, LA plays host to a couple of really big showings, both starting at 7:30.

Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey will be showing in all its 70mm glory at The Egyptian!

For those whose tastes lean more towards the Hitchcockian, Vertigo screens at the Aero…

But if you’re in the mood for something more contemporary, Repo Chick, Alex Cox’s spiritual successor to his 1984 L.A.-flavored classic Repo Man, premieres at the Downtown Independent Theater…

Finally, should you be feeling foreign, Gaspar Noe’s Enter the Void (freaky trailer here) will play at the Nuart at midnight.

Saturday sees another screening of Repo Chick, as well as a day-long Lord of the Rings marathon at the Egyptian (only nerds with butts of steel need apply), and a showing of Run Lola Run at The New Beverly.

Check Resources for individual listings to see if anything Sunday piques your interest.
